Songwriter

“Zärtliches Grün” is the title of the new program of Karl-Heinz Bomberg MD, singer-songwriter and author, born 1955 in Thuringia/ Germany. He studied medicine in Leipzig from 1976 to 1982 and specialised in anaesthesiology, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. In 1984 he was arrested for 3 months for some songs critical of east german society. Today Bomberg works and lives in Berlin. He has a family of 2 children.

Karl-Heinz Bomberg published in 1991 MC/LP “Wortwechsel” (Changing Words), 1996 the book “Sing my new-old song – intertexts”, 1999 the CD “What should I now still sing about?” and in 2002 the book “Author without controls. Songs and heely poems”. With the painter and illustrative artist Manfred Tekla he made two books for children “Monastic life”(1994) and “The friars”(1998). In 2006 followed the CD “Hope – Bomberg and band”, in 2010 followed the CD “Wenn sich der Untergrund bewegt” and the book “Manchmal wird vom Wind dir kühl”. He also published as physician and psychotherapist.
Bomberg had more than 1500 concerts in all parts of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, France, Hungary, Bosnia Herzegovina, Italy, Senegal, Mali, South Africa, Japan and the USA (Pennsylvania State University und Goethe-Institut Washington). There are several anthologies and media productions.
